Who the f are you?

I’m just a dude trying to figure out how to concisely make sense of the deluge of information headed right at me.

Here are my best ideas so far:

  1. Skip it – most information is irrelevant junk, anyway. Why even bother being distracted by it?
  2. Divide and conquer – aka “the Wikipedia model” aka “the Linux model.” There’s a saying in the Linux world, “With enough eyeballs, all problems become superficial.” The problem here is that not all participants are equally skilled / motivated / etc, ergo not all results are of equally veracity. The entire point of this site is to — as the saying goes — separate the wheat from the chaff, so having many people contributing with the hope being that the Linux is better with more contributors — and that’s true, in some senses, but it’s not the whole truth.

Ok, I think that’s all. Does that mean I’m stupid? Am I missing something really obvious and superior?
